Blaze was purchased at her mother's side when we purchased her for our broodmare string. When we learned that the mare had a filly at her side we agreed that it would be great to have an idea of what she produces to give us a better idea of who to pair her with. So far little Blaze has just proven our theories that she reproduces the majority of her calm and level headed demeanor in her foals and that she adds bone without reducing refinement and elegance too much when bred to a finer boned stallion. Though we love her dam's super laid back personality it might have caused trouble in the show ring when you have to look a little more animated and energetic. Luckily for us Blaze is a little more energetic though she is still pretty laid back and easy to work with. Out in the pasture Blaze is an energizer bunny who loves to run and play and goof around with her pasture mates. Her energy can sometimes translate to in hand but she's a quick study and once she realizes that she has to behave she is absolutely amazing.She is incredibly intelligent and willing to work which makes her an extremely fun horse to work with. Though we haven't done more than working on leading, long lining, and desensitizing she has already shown that she is game for anything and everything we ask her to do. She picks up new skills insanely fast and she only ever spooks at a new thing once, if at all, during desensitizing and then we get a reaction similar to her dam of a lifted head and a "really dude?" look when we repeat the item or event. Blaze is incredibly easy to love because of her personality and it definitely helps that she is incredibly adorable too. She's in that cute fluffy stage where she's all legs and hair with big eyes and a delicate little muzzle. Though it can be hard to see through her adorableness once you do you can see that she has the makings of a gorgeous mare when she grows up and matures. She already has a beautifully refined head with cute little ears, big eyes, and super model long legs so it's just the maturing and coming into the beauty we already see growing that needs to happen. Blaze has so much potential to be both an exceptional show horse and future broodmare.
