2008 chestnut Domestic Arabian stallion, 15.1hh

AP Tsar x BT Qaamaicus (Atticus)

Bred by Maghara Arabians

Competing in Park, Park Harness, Formal Combination, and Halter

Quinn was purchased along with our English Pleasure stallion, Salim Ibn Marzouk M, from Maghara Arabians. He was purchased not only as a Park competitor but as  potential sire for both purebred saddleseat competitors as well as Half Arabian Park horses with our Dutch Harness Horse mares. Quinn is more typical for the saddle seat personality than our super mellow Salim but he is still not overly difficult to handle. He is hot and sensitive but he responds well to cues and loves to work so that makes him much easier to deal with and handle. Around the property he loves to prance and preen for all the pretty mares and potential audiences and he can get a little hot in hand but he's quickly corrected and brought back down with a light pop of the lead and a sharp "no". He does get handled with a stud chain for safety and he's still required to be an advanced handler only horse but that is just for safety and the fact that his tendency to be prancy and "up" can often frighten less experienced handlers. Under saddle he is still incredibly hot and can sometimes take a bit of convincing to understand that settling down and containing that energy to direct towards something more productive is a good idea. To help with that process he is often lunged for at least fifteen minutes before hand to get some of the excess energy off and to focus his brain on work rather than showing off. That way once someone is on his back or in the cart behind him he is more focused on responding to cues and channeling that energy and "look at me" attitude into putting on a fantastic, but safe for both rider and horse, show. Quinn is never going to be a horse you can just pull out of the pasture, hop on, and go for a relaxing trail ride but he can definitely still be a fantastic partner to show with. Once his mindset is in the right place and focused on work rather than being difficult Quinn is an absolutely amazing show horse. He is responsive and charismatic and rides like a horse that is much larger than his 15.1 slender frame. His energy and responsiveness is helped immensely by the fact that his is incredibly intelligent and willing to work once you get him focused so, while he may react a bit to something new, he thinks before reacting and most of his reactions are simply "puffing up" at the new thing. Because of his energy and charisma he makes a fantastic horse to show halter and liberty with, all eyes are on him and that's exactly what he loves the most. With an advanced handler Quinn is an insanely talented show horse, proven  by the fact that he has his Legion Of Fame title in the AHAC and he has the potential to do equally great things in other associations. While he is such a talented show horse we did purchase him for the purpose of breeding pure and half Arabian saddleseat horses and he is also especially suited to that purpose as well. When you look at Quinn most people notice the fact that he really does scream "stallion" in the size and shape of his head and neck. He looks like a young and powerful stallion and he screams athleticism as well. He's got a powerful hip and shoulder, elegant legs, and strong hooves that all combine to give him spectacular, big, bold gaits with tons of reach and action both in harness and under saddle. His build, gaits, and hot but handleable and intelligent personality are all things we purchased him to pass on in our program and his first three foals for us prove that he does all of that and so much more and we can't wait to see what else he produces for us.
