2016 black Arabian stallion, 15.2hh

Black Daniels x Aria Marchestra (Marwan Al Shaqab)

Competing in Halter, Most Classic, Liberty, Native Costume, English Pleasure, and English Side Saddle

There is something striking about a solid black Arabian stallion and Lyric is no exception. Isabella first met Lyric at his training barn when she went to look at a few mares and she immediately fell in love. She saw him just standing in his pasture stretching his legs and immediately fell in love. Even at such a young age Lyric had a fantastic amount of charisma and something about him just drew you in and made you hang off the fence watching him. When he arrived at RTS he settled in almost instantly and took to living in a herd beautifully and he happily socializes with the other boys in his pasture. Around the pasture he is actually incredibly mellow and he just hangs out. He still oozes charisma and charm but it's more understated rather than in your face. It isn't until he sees his saddleseat tack or show halter that he starts to "puff up" and even then he is still incredibly easy to control. Under saddleseat tack you can tell that Lyric is really trying to put on a show. His neck arches, his tail flags, and his gaits get bigger and bolder. Even when he's more "up" and showy he never loses his easy going personality and he always stays incredibly sensitive to cues. When he's not training he often gets an all purpose saddle and basic snaffle bridle or hackamore to head out on the trails. Even in mixed company Lyric stays calm and easy to ride and people often can't believe that he is such a young horse, let alone a young stallion. Along with being so easy going Lyric is intelligent and brave. His personality caused him to become one of the guinea pigs for Morrigan, Isabella, and Elizabeth's "exposure clinics". The "clinics" consisted of exposing the show horses and foals to anything and everything from the normal equine soccer balls, hobbling, and gunfire to the sudden appearance of our very vocal and opinionated barn peacock. No matter what the girls threw at Lyric he took it all in stride and the biggest reaction they got from him was "puffing up" and slight prancing while he processed the peacock and the oh so scary plastic bag dragged across the ground. Even when all puffed up and showy Lyric is basically unflappable which makes him a fantastic horse to teach newbies the ropes of both saddleseat and halter classes. He is incredibly forgiving of mistakes though if he thinks you know what you're doing and you're just not paying attention he may do something silly like a head toss or side step to get your attention back. Lyric is an incredibly promising Saddleseat and Halter competitor just based on his attitude but once you add his build, gaits, and pedigree he becomes and equally promising breeding prospect. He's incredibly typey with that beautiful Arabian head and long graceful neck without being too fragile. He is athletically built with strong quarters and good bone and musculature that allow him to really get under himself with his hindquarters and reach to give three big beautiful gaits. He's got a lot of power and beauty in a compact little frame which makes him ride like a much larger horse. His quality is unsurprising once you look at his pedigree. His sire is the stunning and accomplished IXL Noble Express son Black Daniels and his dam is a beautiful daughter of Marwan Al Shaqab. He has such greats as MHR Nobility, El Ghazi, Huckleberry Bey, Bask, Fame VF, and Padrons Psyche running through his pedigree. Lyric really does have everything going for him and we can't wait to see the heights he can reach both as a competitor and as a sire.
